1922 – foundation of the Journal.
1922 – in Bakhmut, the capital of Donetsk guberniya (now Artemivs'k), the first issue of "Donbas Education" ("Education in Donbas Region") was published.
1925 – the journal launched a publication in Ukrainian titled " Soviet School " as the official journal of the District Department of Education and Donetsk Institute of National Education.
1931 – due to the aggravation of the drastic monopolization and repression policy of the Soviet state, the publication of the journal was suspended.
2001 – the creative teaching team of then Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National Pedagogical University resumed publication of the honored journal.
2012 – the Journal was renamed as "Education and Pedagogical Sciences".

The Journal is listed among the specialized scientific editions of Ukraine (Pedagogical Sciences). Decree of the Highest Attestation Committee Administrative Committee No. 1-05/4 dated 14.10.2009 and Addendum No. 9 to Decree No. 54 of the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine of 25.01.2013.
The Journal is included in the Abstracts Database "Ukrayinika Naukova" ("Ukrainica Scientific") (Information Exchange Agreement No. 30 – 05 dated 30.03.2005).
