Galych V. M. Didactic and Educational Potential of Mass Media Perceptions in Oles Gonchar's Dairies

Abstract
For the first time the writer's dairies have been analyzed from the point of view of theory and history of social communication and media education. The object of our research is data on censorship at Soviet times that is provided in Oles Gonchar's dairy records. Censorship (arbitrary interference into the text, expunction of pieces, elaborating on paragraphs, replacement of words, titles are considered to be communication violence. The article proves that censorship in the sphere of journalistic and literary work was not only negative, but also vengeful.
